Samba Sisters are Back In Town
Everything kept blowing away in the wind (even the drums) and it was hard to keep time when we had to stand 2m apart, but we didn't care. There were big grins on all the Sisters' faces :-)
The last time we played was in Langholm, on a very dark, wet and cold night just before Christmas. It was just before the December lockdown was announced (most of us heard about it in Nicola Sturgeon's speech on the car radio on our way home). That Langholm gig had already seemed quite miraculous, after a summer where all the galas and events had been cancelled and we were unable to practise.
It is unlikely that we will be playing in public anytime soon, but for a windy hour in the grounds of a deserted college, it felt so good to be back playing together :-)
