Bidston observatory

Well as we got some good weather today after a week of rain and a week of rain forecast had to make the most of it.  This is just 20 minutes from my home by car but never been before. Always seen it off motorway and though one day... well that day was today, had a good walk to get to it through old native woods and gourse lined paths.  On the way up you get to the highest point on the wirral and can see on one side the River Mersey and  Merseyside and the other side, the River Dee and North Wales.  I saw my first nut hatch and wood pecker but had wrong lense on to get a picture. I will go back and have another go.  There is also an  old windmill there too. Additional photo collage
