Budding

Soon the Aquilegia flowers will open, They are one of my favourite plants with their delicate leaves and decorative white, pink, purple and blue flowers. I have sown quite a few of them in our garden, especially in the shaded corners.

It's been a relaxed Sunday (apart from some urgent paperwork for my mother), and I feel much better than two days ago. This afternoon, the heatwave arrived just as forecast, with a strong southerly wind and temperatures up to 28°C. Hot enough for a bowl of vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries!
