Richmond Park

Mr C and I walked from home to Isabella Plantation in Richmond park this morning. Unfortunately, what we hadn’t realised was that from last week until August dogs have to be kept on leads during the deer birthing season. I’m not aware they have done this before and appreciate it is to avoid dogs attacking the deer but it was a bit of a pain. Ruby was desperate for a run around but was very good nevertheless... even when she spotted a couple of dogs off their leads (rolled eyes emoji). The weather was lovely and warm compared to recent temperatures and the park was very busy but that will probably be our last visit until the autumn now.

Little O is still in hospital under his lamp. They have been testing him every 6 hours but has been ‘failing’ the test. His next one was about 4pm but as yet I haven’t heard. Once he has passed the test he still needs to remain in for another 6 hours without the lamp so I envisage him staying in another night. Sim also said one of the midwives is really negative and not making them feel great (yesterday he had nothing but praise for the wonderful staff and hospital) . With the traumatic week they’ve had this is the last thing they need and, as expected, Natalie is very tearful so he will be having words with the nurse later. And all this on Sims birthday ~ 29 years ago he entered this world.
