Broughton Place (1938)

Starting from the old station at Cardrona, we ran along the Tweed to Peebles and then followed the route of the John Buchan Way to finish at Broughton.

The weather was showery but the landscape was fine, especially in the hills between Stobo and Broughton.

This faux Baronial castle was designed by Basil Spence of brutalist fame.
