G was all prepared to make Beef Rendang this morning when the power went off. Fortunately after calling Western Power we were assured that it would be restored by one o’clock. Like magic it happened at 12:45 so it is now all systems go in the kitchen. After that he is doing Crispy Duck for dinner tonight. I’m allowed to assemble the dauphinois potatoes !
Until then I’m off to do some planting up in the garden with the hope that we’ve seen the last of the frosts.
