Red amaryllis

I’m glad I took photos of all my amaryllis plants first thing this morning because we had a storm come through with hail, straight winds and torrential rain. When it was over, these red amaryllis were beaten right off the stem, others were beaten over and have had to be staked up but unfortunately the winds snapped several of the stems so there was no resurrecting them.

I went and had my Friday porch lunch with Birgit and her mum, Maria. We had a wonderful stew, fruit salad and bread & cheese. After lunch we continued to sit at the table and we coloured our respective colouring books.
