Go Euan!
Son number one and I were due to be playing cricket today, but the weather was appalling and the game was called off. This left me free to go and watch Liphook United play South Wonston Swifts in the Cup and meet up with Steve from number 11. What a game! Max Impiazzi put Liphook ahead with a stunning piece of individual skill but the Swifts equalised just before half-time when the referee gave an indirect free kick 8 yards out for a high foot. Liphook restored their lead with an impressive effort by Ryan Davis, but South Wonston managed to bring it back to 2-2 and take the game to a penalty shoot out. 17 year old Euan Hampshire (pictured here) managed to save two penalties giving Liphook a 6-5 victory and an appearance in the semi-finals next Saturday. Now - should I play cricket or go and watch the football?
