COALS TO NEWCASTLE

Seacoal on the beach, which took me back to childhood holidays in Horden, where old army trucks used to collect free coal from the beach, washed up from the Durham Coalfields.
I was also reminded of the old saying carrying coals to Newcastle, which describes a pointless action. Perfect for today and the rant below. Stay safe everyone !
Grand Rant to finish the football season . . . Boro Manager Neil Warnock in February . . . “we just need 2 or 3 different players for next season” . . . in April . . . “we just need 6 or 7 different players for next season” . . . wrong . . . after the performance today you need a whole team. No fight . . . no steel (what Boro was world famous for) . . . no pride. This team must be the only folk in the World that are glad Covid came along, because if the crowds had been watching . . . phew . . . what an escape.
