Aud - don't rest in peace!

Today Aud's cardboard coffin was decorated by the family. She was a fan of wild flowers and nature in general. Years ago she went to Switzerland and did some exquisite line drawing of flowers which she had framed and gave to us. I have knitted a small flower for her to go on her coffin. This is a photo of it.

I am pleased to say that, for me, this fabulous human being is more alive now than she has been for the last ten years of dementia. It seems that our loved ones take up residence in in our minds. The concept of that person is regularly updated when they are alive. My memories of Aud  have been wonky for the last ten years. Now, they have been rebooted and are fresh and vibrant again!

Woo hooo! As she would undoubtedly  have declared!  


She will not rest in peace as her spirit lives on in all who loved her. Thus her legacy will continue.
