Mother's Day treat

I very rarely have a bacon buttie these days, but as it is Mothering Sunday and we are setting out to drive to Worcestershire, I thought a bit of sustenance was required.

Woke early about 5am as the effect of my cold relief tablets had worn off and I desperately needed a drink. Amazed to find a covering of snow!! Earlier than forecast!! I went back to bed about 7am for a couple of hours and when I woke again sleety snow was falling and the stuff on the ground was melting.

We should return home tomorrow evening, provided we have sorted out all the arrangements for G'dads funeral.

I took some birdie pics out of the kitchen window, but they are there every day, whereas the chance of seeing a bacon buttie on my plate is a rarer find and worth a mention!!!
