No Pigeons Were Harmed........

....in the making of this blip.

It was a lot funnier in motion. This pigeon was trying to get through the fence to join his flock on the other side as they were enjoying an afternoon snack. He went all along the fence sticking his head in, trying to get the rest of his body through, backing out and moving on to another spot. This picture is one of the "backing out" attempts which ruffled his feathers and gave him an alien look. He had the option of flying over the fence like all the others did, but chose not to take it. Finally he found a spot under the gate where he could get his whole body through and he was able to get into the yard and have some lunch. I even gave him some extra since I assumed he needed the nourishment.

So, don't send the police -- he's fine. He flew off after lunch with his flock and I'm sure he'll be back tomorrow. He may be a bit slow but he knows where the food is.
