Blue Dykie
Apologies to all who aren't Cumbrian by birth, it's a Dunnock (Prunella modularis) or as it was more commonly known in English in my youth Hedge Sparrow. I suspect the dialect name stems from firstly its skulking habit keeping to undergrowth and "hedge bottoms" followed by the fact the eggs are the most beautiful sky blue.
Another wet day which kept me fully occupied indoors. The result was snatched photos through various window when the showers weren't covering them in rain.
