Battered peonies!

To be honest I thought they’d look worse than this after rain and winds all night and all day!
I woke up at 4am feeling dreadful, hot and cold, achy all over, which I think was from the second Pfizer jab I had yesterday, so I sent a quick message to my walking buddy cancelling our walk and stayed in bed. I had a bit of a sofa day with lots of naps, and now am feeling much better.
To cheer us up today we received a lovely wedding invitation, so now we have two nice things to look forward to (as well as the arrival of grandchild number five), and rather conveniently,  both will be happening in SE England in July. Let’s hope we’re allowed to travel by then!
