LD 409 Going voting..

As the candidate in Argyll & Bute , on a normal Election Day I would have been half way round the constituency by lunchtime, calling in on polling stations and being driven between them (as I have been at every Scottish Parliament election) by my friend Jamie Hill.

But today I was not a candidate, and the election was very different because of the pandemic.  Even the candidates couldn't tour around and there was a very restricted presence at polling places .  Those were also organised very differently, with screens, one way systems and masks for all.  The counts will be different too, with nothing happening overnight and some still  taking place on Saturday.

Cathleen was in Dunoon this morning so she picked Rula and I up at the bottom of our track around 1.00 and we went to vote at Colintraive Hall with , as you can see , Rula showing some enthusiasm to get there first, though that might have also had something to do with the very chilly wind.   No snow here but there was in many other places and indeed in some places  in Scotland it was much colder this morning than it had been on December 12th 2019 when the last UK General Election took place.
