The Tale of the Mandarin Duck

Sometimes you go out with a challenge in mind. 
Sometimes, the challenge comes to you.  

We had a slow meander along the river today, spotting a dipper, heron, ducklings  and plenty hopping around in the trees.  As we arrived back, yards from the start, a slightly different profile caught my eye, swimming towards me.  Two male mandarins and a female.  I've only every seen a couple of females on the river. My lucky day!

I was then delighted to find it’s going to be my second BCrecreate book cover - a book published this February from Bette Midler (that I'd quite like to take a look at).
