Sculptures By The Sea - Cottesloe

Backblip: Today was forecasted to be another 35+ degree day so I definitely had to be at a beach. A friend from the hostel and I ended up at Cottesloe Beach, which is absolutely gorgeous and is just a 15 minute train journey from the city. We had good timing as today was the first day of a 2 week exhibition of sculptures scattered around the beach, surrounding gardens, and pier. Some of them were incredibly confusing, others were absolutely gorgeous. Mostly though, the day was just spent lounging around in the sun, which my skin is now cursing me for. Despite putting on loads of sunscreen, I still got burnt in some areas that I missed. I'll never learn!

After getting back into the city we went out in search of a something quick for dinner and ended up finding the Twilight Hawker's Market, with dozens of food vendors selling every ethnic cuisine imaginable. Such a good find, and we ended up with some great food and entertainment.
