Gentle Beauly river

The swollen torrent has reverted to a gentle idyllic stream, now inhabited by well-spaced wading fisherman, in the vicinity of the fishing huts now surrounded by all the latest showroom 4x4s. The fish were jumping and from the shouts and curses from one, also biting, but in this case proving hard to land. ‘Bang goes another £70’. Now I know why many choose to tie their own flies.
