Got together at last

Finally, covid rules and weather allowed the chance to meet up with Flavia 13 for the first time this year. 

It was so good to meet up! 
 We walked through AH grounds, down past the Abbey which has had most of the scaffolding removed although they're still doing a lot of work on the old infirmary then up into Abbots wood. It was nice and quiet although there must have been a few dogs there earlier , judging by the amount of sniffing that Fletch was doing!  

I'd booked a table at Abbey House in their Al Fresco area as its very popular. It was busy but the tables were well spaced out and we had a table by the wall which was shadier than in the warm sun. ( yes it was warm) Fletch managed to blag some food off Flavia as he gave her The Eye!  It was so lovely to see her. Hopefully we can meet up again soon.

We were so lucky with the weather, especially considering the awful weather the previous 2 days. It's been so cold but it was still a surprise to see snow on the Lake District hills this morning . 
It was still daylight at 9:15 and it's quite a shock to realise that it's mid summer next month. The strong winds have blown off all of last years beech leaves and it looks and feels more like Autumn. 
Definitely  not Tee shirt weather!
