St Mary’s Church……

Keith and I, along with many friends, attended the funeral service for a great friend, a giant of a man, a real character… Michael. His passing is the end of an era for many. RIP Michael and we send love and comfort to wife Dawn and family. The service was held in one of my favourite buildings in Marlborough…..St Mary’s Catholic Church in Blenheim. It is an old wooden building with a stunning Kauri wooden lining. The Marlborough Catholic Parish consists of seven wide flung communities….. Blenheim, Havelock, Kaikoura, Picton, Renwick, Seddon and Ward. It is known collectively as “Star of the Sea”….. “Te Whetu O Te Moana”. St Mary’s is a treasure and although I am not Catholic I find peace and serenity whenever I visit it.
