The BBC radio 4 is bandying the Americanism "Super Thursday" to describe the elections across the UK today. Why? Asking for a friend! :-))

The stinging nettle is a plant that can cause pain and discomfort, as can certain subjects when raised in conversations on here or indeed anywhere.
For example, a question I find difficult to resolve: can a person who morally and practically describe themselves a Christian vote Conservative?
Another would be: Why is being thought to be a Socialist (believing if not following 100%) derided across the UK and America. I dont know if it is across Europe. Your thoughts please.
