Soldier Poppy At Last
I was hoping to have a poppy to blip for ANZAC Day (April 25th), but the first flower didn’t make it in time. Then it disappeared before it opened. Curiously, so did the second flower. It took a few days for me to discover that the sparrows were the culprits. They have shredded some of the leaves too. So that’s how the little blighters repay the daily handful of grain I throw out for them.
