Nice niece
I feel most people’s experience of waking up is one of feeling refreshed, rising from the bed like a Disney princess, with eyelashes batting and a halo of birds lifting their blanket to the side. I used to know this feeling but these days feel like I’ve been smacked down by a moving bus immediately prior to waking.
In my dream the office was full with lots of new starters. My colleague Jess Skyped me to say one of them had brought a lot of honey glazed dough balls (not a thing in real life) and that I needed to get on them quickly. I can’t remember whether I did or not; most likely yes.
I went to visit my new niece Georgia, who is very nice. I did a rapid flow test before going anywhere near her, so it felt Covid secure. I’m very surprised with myself because I think I may become a fan of babies. I went with my sister for Georgia’s first supermarket trip and we were more excited than perhaps was warranted that she can now park in the parent and child spaces. Less exciting was trying to collapse the new pram. This requires more attempts to avoid causing a scene.
