RHS Bridgewater

A preview of RHS Bridgewater this morning.

The gardens are not open yet - that happens on May 18th. But RHS members in the north-west have been given the opportunity to look at the Welcome Building, designed by Stephen Hodder. Only 400 people have been allowed today, so for us it also felt very comfortable.

The Welcome Building is fab, I love the use of wood (extra). . From it we can have a peek at part of the gardens, which also look fantastic. As does the new lake (Moon Bridge Water) which sits behind the building. In this image I have the Welcome Building behind me and am looking across the lake.

RHS Bridgewater is going to be hugely popular, and given the timing of its opening lots of people are going to want to visit. It’s another plus for Salford.

And .... another step for us. We bought a few things from the shop. Our first non on-line shop and purchases since March 2020.
