The first and only

Of all the bulbs which Mrs. Joesblips planted before winter set in, the first and so far the only one to bloom is this miniature daffodil. If you compare it with the surrounding grass you will understand what I mean by "miniature". Considering that as I type this, the snow is doing its best to come back down, I am not expecting any sudden spurt in growth any time soon. 
I can see "white" on the roof of one of our outhouses. Ouch!
