STABLE UPDATE

An update on the NYMR Carriage Stable at Pickering. The structure is nearing completion, with some of the rail tracks now laid, but needing to be given more ballast. Extras include . . . OnLine, showing the end view with the main line being used to the right . . . and Driver Training, showing locomotive No 825 leaving Pickering Station as final preparations are made for the re-opening on May 15th.
Designed for the London & South Western Railway in 1920, 825 was built in April 1927 at Eastleigh works near Southampton. This is one of three S15 locomotives owned by the Essex Locomotive Society, all of which are stabled at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
On the bike front, the wheel is back complete with new bearings and cones . . . that reminds me . . . ice cream time.
Stay safe everyone !
