Xmas cookies

Everybody knows these boxes of Danish biscuits. In the good old days they were made in every home, the dough forced thru the meat grinder, which had attachment as yesterdays blip for different shapes. Once the dough was forced through as a starshaped snake, it was cut and formed into rings called Vanilje kranse. A sure sign of Xmas. The broad flat ones were just cut to length and remained a flat piece. The last bits of dough were given to the kids to form into small balls often helped to fill some of the paper baskets on the tree.
