Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Karen, one of the live in carers is still in Banchory (which has been a godsend) as her new placement hasn’t been arranged yet.

Karen is an incredibly special person and I could listen to her all day. She has empathy by the bucket load and you can feel warmth radiating from her. She’s South African and was chatting to us about her life back home and how much she loves animals - she rescues dogs and vervet monkeys! She has a friend who has an animal sanctuary which includes a cheetah who just wanders into the house and once gave her a huge fright during a visit when it jumped up onto the sofa and lay down on her lap! She has also (wait for it) cared for a rescued giraffe calf and had to stand on a chair to bottle feed it!
