Roosting
A day of intensive report writing, interspersed with several stints as a taxi driver and some food shopping. It was still very windy this morning, followed by showers in the afternoon, so it was no great sacrifice to stay largely inside.
Late in the day the sun appeared, and I spent a very short time weeding the garden, which was visibly refreshed by yesterday's heavy rain. I also took a quick stroll round with my camera and came across this roosting male orange tip butterfly on a self-seeded Canary broom, hanging on tight in the strong breeze. It took several shots to get the focus right - not ideal conditions for macro photography!
