A showery day was forecast. They were very long and heavy showers. Often when heading north to Keswick the weather changes crossing over Dunmail Raise. I took a chance but alas it was wet on that side too. 

I passed a field with black Herdwick lambs in, then another, so as soon as it was safe I did a u-turn and parked. Photos of sheep and lambs were taken but it's this shot looking the other way, with snow on Brown Cove Crags, that I prefer.
