Diary of an Edinburgher

More dreichness

Robert’s day to take Archie for a long walk. Though it was dreich, it did not put either of them off. They both came back wet, muddy and cold, and I know that at least one of them went straight for a nice warm bath.

JR was not put off either - she walked along to the gym and had an hour’s session with her ‘Gym Bunnies’ pals. I did a wee yoga session. And some housework.

Actually, the day got worse as it went on, and in fact there was sleet in the afternoon, and it was very cold.

In the afternoon I put YouTube on the TV (usually just watch it on my iPad) and went down a rabbit hole of SkyNews Australia, and a 4Corners report on how China is putting pressure on Australia, with crippling tariffs and spurious complaints about barley, lobsters, wine and beef to name a few. They’re going to be Big Trouble in the years to come...

Late in the afternoon, I noticed there was sunshine, so I took Archie down to the Meadows - the blossom won’t last too much longer. Of course, by the time we got there, the sun had gone behind a big cloud. I knew if I left, it would come out again, so we hung around for ages, and eventually, yes, it popped out again.

Just watching the final election debate. There hasn’t been any shouting yet.

Out for lunch tomorrow!
