‘Coots take to the Water‘

The weather was better today, and I went back down to the park to see how the coots were getting on, following their drenched arrival into the world yesterday.

There were six of them, and they had taken to the water!

(Or at least five of them had - one was still on the island nest in the middle of the pond with its mother..)

Meanwhile, the swans are still waiting..... (Extra photo)

......and so is the heron, biding it’s time....
