Winters back ?

The hilltops are covered in snow again and the snow gates were also closed on the A93 for a while. I remember these cold periods of May being referred to as the gowk storm, which comes with the arrival of the cuckoo. The gowk is the cuckoo in Scotland and the north of England. While out walking this morning, one of them cuckood for an hour non-stop, which certainly gets to you after a bit.
