Tiny Tuesday: Parasitic Wasp

I'm not quite sure what this is, as I can't find anything quite like it on-line.  It seems to be closest to some form of wasp that is parasitic upon the caterpillars of moths or butterflies.  These seem to be quite specialised to particular types of moths/butterflies so there is quite a variety.  

Wasps definitely herald the arrival of summer and the picnic season, so hopefully this just about scrapes into this week's Tiny Tuesday challenge subject.

It is very much not my best ever photo, but it has been very, very windy today and getting a macro shot of anything outside has been a bit of a challenge.  I was relying on the camera's autofocus to nail this, as the euphorbia was swaying erratically by almost a foot when the gusts caught it.  I managed only two shots before my subject decided to try to find a more peaceful spot to wait out the gale. After that I gave it up as a bad job and came back inside.

To put the wind in context, I actually had to take the washing off the line at one stage.  I had applied an enormous number of pegs to ensure that our washing didn't fly away, but the flexing in the centre pole of the rotary line was really quite something to behold, and I only just managed to get the laundry back off the line before the physical pressures on the line meant my having to buy a new one ....
