Seven of Eight

It rained late yesterday afternoon and some of the night. Just a few spots of rain, on and off today, but it is very cold and very windy.
 
A morning of paperwork, emails and the end of month household finances.  
 
Today’s picture is of seven of the eight Fallow Deer that visited the garden this morning.  I have not seen the herd for weeks, so they must have known that the orchard did not get mowed yesterday. Or maybe it was just that after the rain the grass was so much greener and better.

I have included two extras, one is the small deer that was ready to leave the garden before the others. The second extra is of three of them eating together; I think the middle one is the young deer that is not in the main picture.

Update - Then in the afternoon it hailed!
