Anniversarry Blooming?

Ced blipped this cactus on 23rd April, 2019. He left us on 13th May, this is flowering 1 month late. Wondering if it's waiting for the 13th!  I also counted 13 buds. Ironically exactly a month after his blip, we laid him to rest XXXXX Another return sprinkle this morning!!
