Saving Spoony

Six Nations weekend four. This years tournament peaked early. Week one was three classic matches back to back, we have got bogged down in forward orientated games since then.

For Wales after a very poor game against Ireland they have regrouped, and whilst not being impressive they have done what they needed to do to grind out three away wins. We have a sniff of the championship next weekend, and a slam buster against England. If the backs can fire we have a chance, the forwards impressed in our 18-28 win over Scotland this afternoon.

For France the wooden spoon is still very much on, they managed a draw against Ireland this afternoon. Ireland and Scotland can still get the dreaded last place.

So this Spoony or spoon-billed sandpiper is dedicated to those three teams!
