May 3rd...

...last year, was beautifully sunny and warm. Today was the worst day weather wise this year- torrential rain - definitely a day to stay in. Except May 3rd is my birthday and Martin and Katie were taking me out for lunch. Lunch indoors in a restaurant ( better than last year’s lockdown birthday) to be followed by ‘ beer garden’ drinks - a cocktail perhaps? Some fizz?
Of course, that didn’t happen. It would have been sheer madness to sit outside in that weather.
But it’s been a lovely day nevertheless. Lots of good wishes, time spent with family - including a wee Skype with Iain from Denmark. Lots to be thankful for and grateful for - even if the weather was rubbish!
