Tongue

Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May 2021

What a grey and wet day. It rained hard all day and was quite windy too. At least it made me get on with the indoor chores - washing, ironing, cooking and cleaning. It has been quite productive. 

Early evening it suddenly stopped raining and the sun came out so I went into the garden for a blip trip. I think this is a hover fly, it was quite small. The flower it is on is 10mm long. I took quite a few photos and it was only when I looked at them on the computer that I discovered it had stuck its' tongue out at me! I had it on high burst so it was fascinating to see the tongue come out and then retreat.

It's worth looking large.
