Flood!

Walk no. 18 today: Shinfirled Grange and Hall Farm.

It was a tad wet!. Our route was cut off a couple of times by deep water which meant I had to scale two 5-bar gates - not easy with a camera bag round my neck and a dog on a lead! Also a bit worried that my unofficial detour would take me through some irate farmers field harbouring a bull - but we got away with it.
We took in The old Aborfield Church originally built in 1256, but now in ruins.
The whole thing took over 2 hours, most of which was taken up with me pulling my boots out of the mire, and unwinding Jim from various vegetation.
Might go back when the weather improves and the ground dries out a bit.
