Torridon

To the north-west Highlands! Climbed two Corbetts near Kinlochewe today in some changeable weather.

The first summit (Ruadh Stac Beag) was hard won; I initially headed for the north-east ridge as I'd heard it was a quicker approach. Except I'd obviously not read that it was also a very steep scramble. With snow falling, low visibility and slippy wet quartzite, I retreated and headed for the alternative route. My shortcut ended up being a tortuous 2km traverse of loose scree. Not to be repeated.

From the summit I could spy lots of Munro baggers on Beinn Eighe, the ridge line in the blip.
