Citrofortunella microcarpa, the Calamondin

Wish I could blip the heavenly aroma for you as well!! In a few weeks these lovely blooms will turn into yummy little 'oranges' again! Check the lucky little ants just on the right side of the middle of the picture! They look quite sticky, I think they are all covered in the sweet juices from the blooms!

The Calamondin or Calamanzi, is a fruit tree native to the Philippine Islands and has been dubbed the calamondin, golden lime, panama orange, chinese orange, acid orange, calamonding, or calamandarin in English. It is believed to originate from China and has spread throughout Southeast Asia, India, Hawaii, the West Indies, Central and North America. The plant is characterized by wing-like appendages on the leaf stalks and white or purplish flowers. Its fruit has either a spongy or leathery rind with a juicy pulp that is divided into sections.

The fruit is indigenous and widely cultivated in the Philippines, and is available year round and is usually seen in its unripened state as a dark green fruit, but if left to ripen it turns a tangerine orange color. (Thanks to Wikipedia)
