Nicky and her Nikon

Hockey

This afternoon I watched my two older sons play hockey - luckily they were at the same venue but in different teams and on different pitches as their matches were played at the same time. So I was running between pitches to watch each match, never really having the chance to focus on either match.

I used my teleconverter for the first time which was fun but it was rather heavy and long having the lens with the teleconverter added to it. I felt like a professional photographer until I saw the assigned professional photographer who had a massive lens with a tiny camera attached to it - the camera was not really tiny it just looked like that in relation to the huge lens. He looked rather pleased with his equipment - size does matter it seems!

Here is my eldest son, he is player no. 5 and desperately trying to get the ball back from the opposition. It was a very exciting match and they went on to win 1-0.

Now we are off to a pre-Mother's Day supper as tomorrow my youngest son has a rugby festival so lunch is out the question.
