She brought her 4 month old collie puppy with her which added to the joy. 

Thank you for the kind words sent my way after mentioning that my dad's home was back in lockdown . My brother , who is the Essential Family Carer Visitor , turned up with paperwork and policies and challenged the legality of the decision . After phone calls by the manager of the home to Public Health it was clarified that visiting did not need to be suspended as one case of Covid  isn't classed as an outbreak . all visits were immediately reinstated which will have benefitted all the residents.
As this is a back blip  I now know that all care home residents will be allowed out for the same reasons as the rest of us without having to isolate for 14 days . This is due to to work of pressure groups which just goes to show how important it is to campaign about those things that one deems important .
