Comforting Nosh

It's been an incredibly busy week, so tonight I decided to treat myself to a dinner I rarely have but absolutely adore; faggots and rice. I told an American friend about my delicious dinner and he questioned why on Earth they are called faggots, and I have yet to find an answer. I did find out that folks in Yorkshire sometimes call them "savoury ducks" (?!) though!
