Since the builders had left and the garden was back to square one, some transformation had taken place, with a lot of help from Christiescruffs and her son Dan, who had spent a school week of practical experience digging the soil over. Nevertheless, the weeds were winning, to the satisfaction of Lizzy, overseeing proceedings.
