27 years today

Didn't sleep very well.....think today was on my mind as I knew it was going to be tough, its our 27th Wedding Anniversary.....was in tears before I got out of bed!

Went downstairs after Id showered and got dressed, opened the card I had written for hub, stood it up on the shelf and just cried. An hour later I still hadnt got myself together, hadnt even made a cup of tea....needed to get out of the house but I looked such a sight, a walk or drive wasnt an option, literally ran round to E, our friends next door and thats where I stayed for a couple of hours!! When D got back from his round of golf he suggested they take me out for coffee & cake, which was lovely of them, as I had imposed myself, so thats what we did.

By the time I got home thankfully I was feeling better and didn't have too long on my own before it was time to go to daughters house as the 3 kids had arranged a get together to mark our anniversary. Three of our five granddaughters were there as well, which was lovely and "our 3" had bought me some beautiful flowers too <3 Daughter made proper oven cooked jackets and chilli, which was really nice.

My blip is all of us around the dinner table, my flowers, Emily & Olivia in a cousin hug, middle son with his youngest two, Olivia & Isabella.

We had a lovely few hours together, plenty of banter and some laughs, hub would have been looking down on us proudly.....and I think he would have been happy to see me give his "best watch" to middle son, who was very touched and happy to have it, although I think Olivia was even happier when I gave her my old iphone......so she can play games on it and when mum and dad feel shes old enough, it can be topped up for her to use properly.

I've had another two sympathy cards in the last couple of days.......and more offers of social get togethers which I will follow up on in time.

I have been taking paracetamol as the nurse suggested, after my second jab, so far so good, nothing much, other than a slight ache as the tablets wear off.

I am glad that today is over with, although to be fair, its not all been sad......another "first" hurdle overcome.
