Primroses by the pond

Today was a bit crazy.  As usual, I was working from home, connected to two computers at work.  At 9:30 am, the connections crashed out and I could not restore them. Five minutes later, there was a message from work saying that the network there had fallen over as well.  Time for the business continuity and disaster recovery plans to kick in, so found the backup hard drive and headed into work.  Two hours later, we found out that the problem was a massive power cut in the server room, which was not good, but much better than a cyber attack. Our own plans worked as we'd hoped, so we didn't have to lose any samples, and the central systems gradually came back over the afternoon. Of course, the work I planned for today fell by the wayside.
