Project Complete (almost!)

We have a lawn!

Our builders finished yesterday with laying the lawn and a few other minor jobs.  In the extra, what we started with almost 5 years ago.   Just after the garden builders had left, we had a message asking if it was ok to come and fit the replacement garage door today, so a little chasing about to get things into a state where they could have access and that was done by early this afternoon - something my shoulder and back muscles are very happy about :-) 

Almost complete as I have to replace the earthing rod for the garage which turned out to be very poorly connected and might well have been like that for several years.  There is a good earth from the incoming supply so it should be ok to wait until the grass is settled enough to walk on.  Quite looking forward to driving a 1.2m copper coated steel rod into our clay subsoil!

I have paid both invoices this afternoon - and (for UK blippers) could I just point out this was from our money, earned honestly, no donations, loans or any other chicanery were involved ;-)
