Practice makes perfect

I cheated to find out if I do have the skills to draw a portrait, but I can't accurately do it freehand.  I take comfort in the fact that there is also a photo and therefore does not have to be that accurate. The oil paint has to dry before I start making any further changes.
Gives me time to keep practising.
